Posted 12/7/11 - Nextreme is seeking a Semiconductor Plating Process Engineer with a focus on process development, process control, and defect reduction.
Description
The position will be responsible for the manufacturability of all products produced in the Plating sector with a focus on process development, process control, and defect reduction. The Process Engineer must be able to work across all sectors in the fab, plus lead equipment start-up and process characterization efforts. The position requires the engineer to design and perform a wide range of experiments which are intended to identify and eliminate sources of process variation and defect generation. The position defines methods of tracking sector performance and implements control plans to ensure product quality.
Educational Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field plus 6 -10 Years direct high-volume manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Requirements
The Process Engineer will own:
- Sector Process Stability and monitoring
- New Process and Measurement Program Development
- Process improvements and sector engineering change control
- All specifications and documentation for the sector
- Definition of sector control plans
- All Sector process recipes and traveler steps
- Sector Metrology and stability monitoring
- Process Training and Formal Certification for Operators & Technicians
- Direct inspection, measurement & testing of product as required
- Raw material qualification and verification for the sector
- Corrective actions assigned to the sector
- Definition of preventive/predictive maintenance content and frequency
- Identification of key replacement parts for all sector equipment (key defined as stored onsite or real time availability from vendor)
Specifics
- Quality Systems: Understand Nextreme quality systems and use the systems to facilitate company growth
- Must have previous wafer fabrication or semiconductor based process engineering experience specific to plating or chemical processing
- Must be highly disciplined and have experience with Engineering Change Notice (ECN) systems
- Experience with mechanical set-ups and maintenance of high-volume manufacturing equipment as well as new tool evaluation and buy-off procedures
- Must have strong background in process control and be able to work closely with the product integration engineers to meet customer expectations
- Statistical Analysis: Analyze data using statistical methods (e.g.; JMP) to characterize, improve or troubleshoot device performance; summarize into concise, bulleted reports and provide updates to management
